Rioters

* I found Ron Harris’ column particularly insightful (“The Riots Helped No One--Except the Well-Placed Few,” April 29). The headline would suggest that those who rioted, such as then-20-year-old Damien, haven’t prospered much since April 29, 1992.

Let’s see, Damien joined in a raging campaign in which he and a friend burned down a liquor store. Harris visited Damien recently and learned that Damien wasn’t doing much better than when he participated in those riots two years ago.

Guess rioting wasn’t a good career move.
