Syncor International Corp., a Chatsworth operator of specialty pharmacy centers, reported a first-quarter profit of $2.1 million, about the same as a year ago, on a 25% increase in revenue.

For the three months ended March 31, Syncor said its sales climbed to $74.8 million from $59.7 million in the same quarter a year ago. The company said sales were boosted by its alliance with Du Pont Merck in February.
