BURBANK : ’94 Hoedown for Kids to Feature Celebrities

Celebrities will deal cards and put on their dancing shoes Saturday at the Los Angeles Equestrian Center in Burbank to help raise money for needy children.

The ’94 Hoedown for Kids--sponsored by the philanthropic group Women in Show Business--will feature celebrities, including Gregory Peck, Polly Bergen, Beverly Garland and Tom Hatten, line dancing and staffing card tables.

Country music entertainers will perform. Instructors will offer tips on line dancing and doing the two-step. A silent auction is scheduled.

All proceeds go toward helping needy children pay for reconstructive surgery, prosthetics and other aids, said Sharman Kanter, spokeswoman for the group. Tickets are $125 per person. For information, call (310) 271-3415.
