Gateway Communications Inc.: The Irvine-based computer network products company announced a first-quarter net loss of $783,000, or 15 cents per share, on revenues of $1.27 million. In the comparable 1993 quarter, Gateway’s net loss was $474,000, or 9 cents per share, on revenues of $3.3 million. On March 31, Gateway said its financial position included approximately $5 million in working capital, of which approximately $2.3 million was cash and cash equivalents and no debt.
