CRENSHAW : Concert to Aid Optimist Club

The 5-4 Optimist Club is hosting a benefit concert at the 5-4 Ballroom and Supper Club at 8:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday.

The event at 310 W. 54th St. will feature blues and jazz singers Linda Hopkins and Margie Evans, along with jazz musicians Tony Matthews, Edmond Lee, Thomas Dawson and Edward Mosley. Admission is $30.

The nonprofit Optimist Club, which serves Central Los Angeles, provides a programs and services for youths.
