Semiconductor Market Seen Growing 21.3% in ‘94: With North America posting the strongest increase, the worldwide market for semiconductors is expected to grow to $93.8 billion in 1994, the World Semiconductor Trade Statistics Inc. said. The computer chip industry should grow to $101.2 billion in 1995, $113.5 billion in 1996 and $132.7 billion by 1997, the trade statistics reporting group said in a report issued by the Semiconductor Industry Assn. The North American semiconductor market is expected to reach $31.1 billion--about a third of the worldwide total--in shipments this year.
