PORT HUENEME : Construction Pact for Base Project Awarded
A $16-million construction project that includes offices for hundreds of Navy scientists and engineers at the Naval Construction Battalion Center in Port Hueneme has been awarded to a San Diego firm.
The new facility, which will consolidate the West Coast staff of the Naval Facilities Engineering Service Center, will include laboratory space for the scientists.
The contract was awarded to Harper/Neilsen Construction Co. this week by the Naval Facilities Engineering Command. The project is expected to be completed by February, 1996.
