WORLD IN BRIEF : VIETNAM : Hanoi Sentences 11 for Fraud on MIAs

A Frenchman and 10 Vietnamese accomplices have been sentenced to prison for producing fraudulent remains and documents of U.S. servicemen missing in the Vietnam War, a Hanoi newspaper said. Robert Chaillard, a native of France and resident of Vietnam, masterminded a scheme in which he misrepresented Asian bones and other physical remains as those of American MIAs, according to the newspaper.
