HIV-Infected Man Gets Second Death Sentence

HOUSTON —
An HIV-infected man convicted of killing a real estate agent during a June, 1993, robbery has been sentenced to death despite a doctor testifying the man would likely die in three to five years of AIDS.
A jury took just one hour late Thursday to convict James Dickerson of killing Marilyn Sage Meagher, 43, and another hour to sentence him to die by lethal injection.
