Share

An Olympic athlete, a television journalist and a lithographer are among the featured speakers at this year’s commencement exercises for graduates of Cal State Northridge on June 6, 7 and 8.

Gold medalist in track at the 1988 Summer Olympics in Seoul and a sports commentator, Florence Griffith-Joyner, or Flo-Jo, as her fans came to know her, will address graduates of the CSUN School of Communication, Health and Human Services. Joyner had attended CSUN as a business major before receiving a scholarship from UCLA.

Ruben Martinez, co-host of KCET’s “Life and Times,” will speak at the graduation for the School of Humanities.
