A military helicopter that took off from Point Mugu Naval Air Weapons Station on Tuesday night was forced to land about an hour later near Pyramid Lake after the aircraft began having problems, authorities said.

According to preliminary reports, none of the seven people aboard the UH-1 Huey helicopter was injured, said Phillis Thrower, spokeswoman for Point Mugu.

The helicopter left Point Mugu about 6:05 p.m., Thrower said. It began having trouble about 7 p.m. and landed about two miles southwest of Pyramid Lake.
