Reader Marci Martin of Encinitas recalls the time her father and mother were waiting for a bus on a busy street corner in Dallas:

Mom held onto Pop’s arm, watching the passing traffic. After awhile, she wandered away, distracted by the sounds of children playing across the street. Soon, she returned and resumed her position. A stranger, whose arm she now held, gazed down at her with a startled expression. Mom quickly responded:

“Oh, I’m sorry. The back of your head looked just like my husband’s behind.”
