UCLA’s ROTC

Share

Many of life’s choices and avenues foster uniqueness and individuality. The military and ROTC do not. Cohesiveness and cooperation demand conformity and uniformity--hence, the precision drills, marching in lines, the haircuts and uniforms. This environment is not the place for heterosexuals or homosexuals, to demand their freedom to “let me be me.”

The military Establishment justly and fairly discriminates against anyone who “stands out” from the troops. No sign reads “Gays need not apply.” ROTC has one consistent high standard: “Sore thumbs” of any kind not welcome here.
