Merck & Co. Raises Prices on 22 Drugs, Cuts Them on 2: The New Jersey-based pharmaceutical company said it raised prices from 2.7% to 3.8% on medications such as its ulcer drug Pepcid; Vasotec, its drug for high blood pressure, and Proscar, its drug for benign enlarged prostate. Merck cut the prices of two cholesterol drugs: the 40-milligram dose of Zocorby, by 32%, and the 10-milligram dose of Mevacor, by 28%.
