Mexico Trade: The World Trade Center Assn. of Orange County will co-host a half-day symposium on trade opportunities with Mexico at the Hyatt Regency Hotel in Irvine on July 14..
The symposium will feature different programs for manufacturing and distributing.
Speakers at the manufacturing segment will include Carlos de Orduna, president of the National Maquiladora Assn. and director general of Sanyo North America’s Mexican operations; customs attorney Susan Kohn Ross; Tony Ramirez, vice president of Made in Mexico, a San Diego-based manufacturing company, and Sylvia Casas-Jolliffe, president of Casas International Brokerage, a San Diego customs broker that is co-hosting the symposium.
Speakers for the distribution segment will be Geoffrey Bogart, a consultant to U.S. companies trading with Mexico; Kim Benson, vice president of Cange & Associates, an international export marketing firm; Erendira A. Abel, an international business consultant; and Catherine Weeks, Casas International’s import department manager.
The cost for the symposium is $75 in advance; $85 at the door.
