This Marriage Advice Is for Husbands

Re “Can This Marriage Be Saved?” (“ ‘What About Me?’ Asks Husband,” May 30): I could not believe your article. Brenda is working, taking care of their child and responsible for cleaning, cooking, etc. And still she has to cater to Rick’s selfishness and explain to him why she’s so tired.

If Rick would open his eyes and look around, maybe he would see that the dishes are piled up, laundry needs to be done and dinner cooked. Apparently he is ‘90s enough to agree to his wife working outside the home but not enough to help around the house. If Rick were as busy as Brenda, I don’t think he’d have as much time to whine about not getting attention.

The advice given was for Brenda. Don’t you think she has enough to do already?
