GM Expected to Name Head of North American Operations: The nation’s No. 1 auto maker is likely to end more than two years of crisis management early next week when its board formally names Chief Financial Officer G. Richard Wagoner, 41, president of the division. The company’s board is scheduled to meet Monday in New York. GM declined to comment on pending appointments, which have been awaited for months and were outlined this week by industry newsletter Ward’s Automotive Reports and the Detroit Free Press. GM shares fell $1.25 to $52 on the New York Stock Exchange.
