McKillop Leads Bullfrogs Past the Blades

Bobby McKillop scored three goals and had an assist as the Bullfrogs beat the Blades, 11-6, in a Roller Hockey International game Sunday at the Forum.

The Bullfrogs opened a 3-0 lead in the first quarter and led, 5-3, at the half. The Blades got as close as 5-4 in the third quarter, but the Bullfrogs scored four consecutive goals to pull away.

Anaheim got a strong performance from goalie Rob Laurie, who had 38 saves. “I believe he’s the best goalkeeper in the league,” Bullfrogs Coach Grant Sonier said. “We knew our chances were going to come and we gave up as few opportunities as possible.”

The Bullfrogs (6-1) were coming off a 9-7 loss to San Diego on Saturday. Bobby Hull Jr., the Blades’ player-coach, scored his first goal of the season for the Blades (4-3).
