Share

Downey residents will be paying more to play on the Rio Hondo Golf Course when the municipal course reopens this fall after extensive renovation.

The City Council last week approved fee increases to help pay for the $5-million redesign.

Fees for Downey residents will increase from $2 to $5, and fees for non-residents will go up from $16 to $25. The fee for senior citizens who play before 8 a.m. or after noon on weekdays increases from $9.50 to $13 for residents and $18 for non-residents.
