BEVERLY HILLS : Construction Begins on $8-Million Parking Structure

Share

Ground was broken Tuesday for a new $8-million, 286-space parking structure in Beverly Hills.

The facility, to be completed in the fall of 1995, will be at 345 N. Beverly Drive. Merchants had supported construction of a parking structure to ease congestion along the busy commercial street.

The parking garage, the ninth city-owned one to be built, will provide six levels of parking and 10,400 square feet of retail space at street level. It will boost the number of parking spaces in the city, including on- and off-street metered parking, to 7,500, according to city officials.
