3 Cheers for Uplifting Story of L.A. Pride

* I just wanted to let The Times staff know how nice the feature was on the family of firefighters (“Firefighter Tradition Spans Three Generations,” July 3). Very rarely do you see a whole page devoted to a group of people who take pride in what they do.

Firefighters are a special breed. They risk their lives for strangers and protect the city they call home. I think that’s a great example of L.A. pride.
