Cheese Recalled for Listeria Threat: A California company is recalling thousands of packages of goat milk cheese because they may contain the life-threatening bacteria. Anyone who purchased Cypress Grove Chevre between early May and June 22 is asked to not eat the cheese and to return it to the store where it was purchased. Refunds will be given. The cheese was sold primarily in California, but contaminated shipments may also have gone to Colorado, Georgia, Illinois, Massachusetts, Michigan, New York, Oregon and Texas. The Food and Drug Administration discovered that some of the cheese was not pasteurized long enough.
