Baking bread is an old time accomplishment that gives me peace. The feel of springy dough; the rhythm of kneading; the heady, barmy smell, and anticipation of the taste pleases me. By the time the loaves are tipped from the pans, I have experienced a nostalgic trip to long-gone days. Memories are revived of coming home from school to a fragrant kitchen and a raggedy hunk of warm bread adorned with butter.
