TUSTIN : Chamber Honors 2 Community Activists

An attorney and a restaurateur have been named Tustin’s Man and Woman of the Year for their community involvement. The awards were presented at the Tustin Chamber of Commerce’s 37th annual officers installation dinner.

Man of the Year Vic Gorham, who also was installed as chamber president for 1994-95, is a local attorney who specializes in estate planning and business law. He is a former president of the Tustin Host Lions Club and immediate past president of the Boys and Girls Club of Tustin.

Gorham also is a founding director of the North Tustin Community Assn. and has been active with the city’s chili cook-off steering committee for the past three years.

Woman of the Year Angie Kardashian owns Angie’s Cuisine Italiano in Tustin. She is a former chamber president and current chamber liaison to the Marine Corps Air Station in Tustin. Her volunteer efforts include hosting a free Thanksgiving dinner at her restaurant for Marine service personnel and their families.

Kardashian also was contestant coordinator of the Miss Tustin Scholarship Pageant for five years and helps support scholarship funds at Tustin High School.

Presenting the awards were last year’s Man and Woman of the Year, David Nisson and Judy Houlihan.
