Richey Electronics Inc.: The Garden Grove electronic components distributor reported that its profit for the second quarter rose to $532,000, or 9 cents a share, from $93,000, or 2 cents a share, for the same period a year earlier. Sales were up 17% to $23.1 million from $19.7 million. Year-to-date profit was $887,000, or 15 cents a share, compared to earnings of $178,000, or 5 cents a share, for the corresponding period in 1993. Six-month sales increased to $43.4 million from $27.8 million. The results for the first six months of 1994 reflect the combined operations of two companies that merged in April, 1993: Richey Impact Electronics Inc. and Brajdas Corp. Comparative data for the same period in 1993 reflect Richey Impact’s operations alone for the first quarter and combined operations for the second quarter.
