North County Is Mired in Apathy

Share

* The Times has missed the mark on this editorial (“$650,000 Flies Away in Battle Over Airport,” July 24). I admire these four southern cities for not sitting around waiting until the November election before taking action. They are working governments protecting their future and want answers now.

Why aren’t the rest of the cities in North County following likewise? We should demand the same.

Our leaders are basking in apathy when the air quality of Orange, Fullerton and La Habra will likewise be affected. Air pollution, traffic and tax assessments from an international airport are not issues of north versus south. They need assessing for the overall impact on our microcosm of Orange County.
