GLENDALE : Care Fair a Boon to Youngsters’ Health
Fighting preventable childhood diseases will be the focus of the fifth annual Kids Care Fair scheduled for Aug. 27.
Local organizations, businesses and volunteers will participate in the fair, similar to others being held at more than 40 locations in five Southern California counties.
The fairs provide free health screening, immunizations, family-health education and information about local health care services for children ages 2 months to 18 years and their families.
In Glendale, fair sponsors include the American Red Cross, KABC-TV Channel 7, FHP Health Care, the Glendale Adventist Medical Center, the Glendale Kiwanis Club and the YWCA.
The fair will be held at the Glendale-Crescenta Valley chapter of the American Red Cross, 1501 S. Brand Blvd. For more information or to volunteer for the event, call (818) 241-8204.
