Foreign Satellite Broadcasts to Be Banned: The government will prohibit the reception of such broadcasts in an effort to protect the Communists’ one-party rule, according to a report in the Daily Yomiuri. Last month, police cited 120 Vietnamese citizens for watching foreign TV programs without government permission. The country allows foreign-owned companies and hotels to set up a system to monitor satellite TV programs.
