Book-to-Bill Ratio Drops: For the tenth time in the last 11 years, the July book-to-bill ratio declined, according to World Semiconductor Trade Statistics data released by the Semiconductor Industry Assn. The preliminary figure for companies competing in the North American market is 1.04. June’s revised ratio is 1.07. A book-to-bill ratio of 1.04 means that for every $100 worth of products shipped (billed), manufacturers received $104 worth of new orders (bookings).
