SIMI VALLEY : Journalist to Speak at Reagan Library
A veteran White House correspondent who witnessed John F. Kennedy’s assassination and flew to China with Richard Nixon will share his experiences covering nine U.S. Presidents during a visit to the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library in Simi Valley later this month.
Hugh Sidey, a contributing editor for Time magazine, will appear as part of the library’s “Living in the White House” speaker series.
The series concludes Sept. 9 with a talk by Helen Thomas, a UPI correspondent who has covered the White House since the Truman Administration.
Sidey’s talk is scheduled for 11 a.m. on Aug. 22. Tickets are $10. To make reservations, call 522-2977.
