Ford Exports to Gulf Arab States Rise: Auto exports to Gulf Arab states by Ford Motor Co., boycotted by the Arab world until the 1980s, rose by more than 35% in the first six months of 1994, a company statement said. Ford said it shipped 8,412 vehicles to the six countries of the Gulf Cooperation Council in the first half, up from 6,135 in the same period the previous year. It did not give a value for its exports. The GCC groups Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Kuwait, Bahrain, Qatar and Oman.
