Unemployment Drops to Three-Year Low: Employment rose to a record in July and the jobless rate fell to a 37-month low. The number of jobs created in the month soared 90,200 to 7.97 million, compared to a rise of nearly 15,000 that forecasts had foreseen. The jobless rate slipped to 9.5%, its lowest since June, 1991, from 10% in June this year.
