With Design In Mind International Inc., a Woodland Hills toy maker, reported a profit turnaround for its second quarter and first half that ended June 30.

The company’s second-quarter earnings totaled $530,345, in contrast with a year-earlier loss of $428,675. Sales in the recent quarter were $4.82 million, up from $137,619 in sales a year before.

With Design In Mind said it had strong second-quarter sales of toys based on the “Mighty Morphin Power Rangers” television characters and the hit “The Lion King” movie. It also cited improvements in marketing and distribution at the recently acquired toy maker Janex Corp. for helping boost second-quarter results.
