Canned Heat

Re: Boiling sweetened condensed milk in the can, of years, Borden’s advertised this about their Eagle Brand condensed milk and I did it many times as a young housewife. As I recall, it was horribly sweet, but I liked it because of its rich caramel flavor. Because of the pudding’s richness, I whipped it with a spoon and then blended in whipped cream. I’ve often wondered why several holes punched in the top might not solve the problem.
