Cerplex Group Inc.: The company announced Monday it has bought a technical training and repair services company in Redmond, Wash., from the company’s founders.

Cerplex spokesman Bruce Nye declined to say how much the Anaheim-based company paid for Apex Computer Co. Inc., which had revenues of about $12 million last fiscal year. Cerplex does not plan to shift Apex’s 53 employees from their Washington work site, Nye said.

Like Apex, Cerplex provides electronic repair and parts servicing, but had not focused on training until this acquisition. The move will also allow Cerplex to offer its services to companies whose computers use the UNIX operating system and to begin building a presence in the Pacific Northwest, Nye said.
