Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co., blaming soaring natural rubber costs, said it will raise replacement tire prices 2% to 4.5% in October, a move other tire makers are likely to follow. . . . Hewlett-Packard and Canon Computer Systems, the world’s biggest manufacturers of printers used with computers, said they cut prices on some models as much as 30%. . . . Mazda Motor of America said prices of its MX-3 sports coupe, Miata roadster, 929 luxury sedan and MPV minivan will be increased by an average 1.9%, or $413, for 1995. . . . General Motors Corps.’ Saturn unit, seeking to put to rest speculation earlier this year that its growth had stalled, said its U.S. car sales nearly doubled during August over the same month last year.
