Response Immediate to Waste Collection

Thank you for your positive news article on our Hazmobile, or Mobile Household Hazardous Waste Collection Program (“Toxic-Waste Cleanup Goes Door-to-Door,” Aug. 21).

Our program’s success relies heavily on the help of the news media in getting the word out to the public. There was an immediate response to your news article, with numerous calls coming in to our Household Hazardous Waste Hot Line requesting appointments to deliver waste to the Hazmobile.
