LA HABRA : Free Home Buyers Workshop Planned

The La Habra Neighborhood Housing Services is inviting low-income people to attend a free home buyers workshop Sept. 17 in the La Habra City School District office.

Anyone who completes the workshop, which will cover how to apply for a loan and how to budget monthly expenses, will be eligible to apply for special home loans, officials said.

To qualify, prospective home buyers’ family incomes must be less than the average family income in Orange and Los Angeles counties--that is, about $64,000 for a family of four in Orange County and about $53,000 for a family of four in Los Angeles County.

The workshop will be at 9 a.m. at the district office building, 500 N. Walnut St. Spanish interpretation will be available.
