Ford Agrees to Settle Bronco II Suit: The auto maker said it will distribute safety information to 700,000 owners of the sport utility vehicle to settle a class-action lawsuit. Under the agreement, which is subject to approval by the U.S. District Court in Louisiana, Ford Motor Co. will mail warning labels that fit on the sun visor of the vehicle that caution drivers to avoid sharp turns or abrupt maneuvers. The settlement only covers Ford Bronco IIs built between 1983 and 1990. The Bronco II has been the subject of numerous lawsuits from drivers claiming that the vehicle rolls over during sharp turns. “We feel this is a good and fair settlement from our viewpoint because there is nothing wrong with these vehicles,” a Ford spokeswoman said.
