Ford Raises Prices Slightly on ’95 Models: The auto maker said prices of its new model year cars and trucks will average 0.1% more than the pre-introduction prices announced earlier this summer. With the hike, which amounts to about $22 per vehicle, Ford’s average vehicle prices for 1995 are up an average of 1.4%, or $281, from final 1994 prices. Ford’s move is the latest in a series of price boosts by U.S. and Japanese auto makers. In July, General Motors hiked prices of its 1995 models an average 2.5%, or $494 per vehicle, and Chrysler announced price increases averaging 2%.
