Some Banks Fail to Warn Fund Investors, Agency Says: The Office of the Comptroller of the Currency said some banks continue to do a poor job of giving investors written warning that the mutual funds and other investments bankers sell are not federally insured and could go sour. The government review shows that many of the marketing and advertising materials voluntarily turned over by more than 700 national banks for OCC review violated federal banking guidelines issued last year.
