Co-Defendant of Henley Denied Bail in Cocaine Case

A federal judge denied a bail motion Monday for Willie Haghey McGowan, one of the co-defendants in the cocaine possession and conspiracy case involving Los Angeles Rams cornerback Darryl Henley and several others.

The 30-year-old McGowan, from Duarte, was a fugitive from justice until he was captured in April by federal authorities in San Diego. In an indictment unsealed last December, a federal grand jury charged that McGowan had worked with Henley to distribute cocaine.

McGowan has been held at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Los Angeles since his arrest.
