A billboard that tells of a lonely millionaire looking for a bride asks women between the ages of 35 and 45 to call a number and leave personal information, including religion, occupation and education. But would-be brides also are asked to send a $10 “processing fee” to a local post office box.

“If this guy is a millionaire, why is he asking for $10?” said Ron Miller, president of the Better Business Bureau of Central Ohio. “It’s a scam. That’s not Cupid working there. That’s some guy lining his jacket.”

The name of the person placing the ads was not revealed, but postal inspectors are investigating.
