PacifiCare Health Systems Inc.: The firm said Thursday that it has received formal approval from the federal Health Care Financing Administration to begin enrolling members in its Secure Horizons program--the company’s health program for those older than 65--in Dallas.

A company spokeswoman said the company is ready to begin operations immediately. Six hospitals and physicians groups have signed on to be part of Secure Horizons’ provider network there.

The Cypress-based health maintenance organization already operates its Secure Horizons program in San Antonio and Houston.
