CRENSHAW : Update Planned on Mall Movie Theaters

The status of a movie-theater complex planned for Baldwin Hills Crenshaw Plaza will be discussed Tuesday night at the Crenshaw Neighbors membership meeting. All area residents are encouraged to attend.

Magic Johnson Development Co. President Ken Lombard will update residents on plans for the theater multiplex. The new Magic Johnson Theaters are a joint venture between Johnson’s company and Sony Pictures Entertainment, a deal announced in April.

At the meeting, Lombard will discuss construction scheduling, the economic impact of the project, security, job opportunities and other issues related to the theaters.

The meeting will be at 7 p.m. at the Department of Water and Power, 4030 Crenshaw Blvd.
