Dell Cuts Price of Pentium Computer: The computer company is expected to announce price cuts of $200 on two of its Pentium-powered computers and to introduce new models aimed at the corporate market. The Austin, Tex.-based personal computer maker is cutting the price of its least-expensive Dell Dimension computer powered by the top-end Intel Corp. microprocessor to $1,899. The XPS60 model is equipped with a Pentium microprocessor, 528-megabyte hard drive and 15-inch monitor. Dell is also cutting the Dell Dimension XPS90, with CD-ROM drive, more memory and a mouse, to $2,399. It is also introducing new Pentium-powered OptiPlex units, adding to the product line it established for corporate customers.
