Time Warner Vice President to Move to Home Box Office

Share

Geoffrey W. Holmes, Time Warner Inc.’s senior vice president of technology, has been asked to leave the corporate staff and take a position reporting to Home Box Office Chairman Michael Fuchs, sources said Thursday. Holmes, 48, has been overseeing Time Warner’s interactive-media businesses, which have about 300 employees and about $100 million in revenue. Those companies--with operations scattered from Burbank and Milpitas in California to New York and Tokyo--are expected to become part of Home Box Office, a division of Time Warner. With Holmes’ departure from the corporate staff, no former Warner Communications executives will remain in the senior ranks. Longtime Chief Financial Officer Bert Wasserman--another Warner veteran--is expected to leave at year’s end. Time Warner officials declined to comment on plans for either Holmes or Wasserman.

* Seymour Stein is expected to be named president of Elektra Records before the end of the month. Sources say just a few details remain to be worked out.
