Advanced Micro, Intel Agree to Preliminary Injunction: Advanced Micro Devices Inc. said it and Intel Corp. agreed on terms of a preliminary injunction that will let Advanced Micro continue to ship Am486 microprocessors under certain conditions. Among other things, the terms of the preliminary injunction provide that Advanced Micro will ship no Am486 products containing the disputed Intel code known as ICE microcode after Jan. 15, 1995, Advanced Micro said. Earlier this month, a federal magistrate ruled that Advanced Micro does not have a license to copy or distribute the ICE microcode.
