Interlink Is Profitable on Leaving Europe Venture

Interlink Electronics, a Camarillo maker of computer devices, reported a third-quarter profit due to the sale of its interest in a European joint venture for $3.38 million.

The sale resulted in net income of $3.25 million for the three months ended Sept. 30, compared with a loss of $681,000 a year earlier. Interlink’s revenue in the September quarter was $2.25 million, up 86% from $1.21 million in revenue a year before.

For the recent nine-month period, the company earned $2.3 million, while its revenue rose 58%, to $5.49 million. In the first nine months of 1993, it lost $2.57 million on $3.48 million in revenue.
