FTC Makes Second Inquiry on Lockheed-Martin Merger: The Federal Trade Commission has asked for further information from Lockheed Corp. and Martin Marietta Corp. about their $10-billion merger plan. Lockheed said a second inquiry, extending the review period, was to be expected with such a complex proposal. The agency will decide whether the merger would violate antitrust laws. It can ask for information only twice and must respond within 20 days of receiving supplemental information. Lockheed said it hopes to win approval in time for the two aerospace companies to be combined during the first quarter of 1995.
